Salient Features of Darul Uloom Deoband<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Public Association:<\/strong> Darul Uloom Deoband is the pioneering institution of the Islamic World which relies chiefly on the public contributions without taking any help from any Govt. As its fundamental rule, it does not accept any aid from any government and carries out its activities from the funds contributed by public. This helped Darul Uloom to have close attachment with the masses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Free Education & Stipends:<\/strong> From its inception in 1866, Darul Uloom not only provides totally free education to all the students rather it pays them scholarship and stipends. It does not charge the students even a single penny for their education. All the education from primary level up to higher studies and specialization is free of cost. The students are provided free food, free lodge and study materials. They are not charged for electricity and other facilities provided to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The students are paid monthly stipend for their pocket expenses. The students are given allowances for clothes, shoes and offered quilt for winter season. There are medical facilities also available for the students where they can get themselves treated at very nominal fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The system of free education helped greatly the poor families of Indian community to get their children educated without bearing the burden of educational expenses. Thus, Darul Uloom and its allied madrasas have played great role to promote literacy and eradicate ignorance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Teaching Humanity & Brotherhood:<\/strong> Darul Uloom\u2019s syllabus comprises the study of the Quran, Hadith and other Islamic Sciences which imbibe moral teachings and promote humanity and brotherhood.
